XG at Silverstone | Honouring Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes Legacy
This weekend, Sky Sports F1 aired a special tribute to Lewis Hamilton, celebrating his incredible 12-year journey with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team. With Lewis set to embark on a new chapter with Ferrari next season, the tribute marked a fitting farewell to one of the sport’s greatest drivers.
Filmed at the legendary Silverstone Circuit, the feature captured Lewis Hamilton behind the wheel of some of the most iconic cars from his Mercedes career. This included the 2013 F1 W04, his debut car with the team, the 2014 F1 W05, which earned him his first championship with Mercedes and marked the beginning of the hybrid era, and the 2018 F1 W09, the car in which he secured his fifth Drivers’ Championship.
