Tour de Yorkshire Giant Banner

Celebrating Local Talent with #TheBigPicture Project

Animated Objects Community Arts launched a community project called #TheBigPicture, inviting all key stage 2 primary school children in the Borough of Scarborough to participate in a competition to create artwork promoting the Tour de Yorkshire as it passed through Scarborough.

The winning design and eight runners-up were featured on a massive piece of land art—a 13m x 13m fabric banner, larger than two double-decker buses, which they asked us to produce for them.

A Celebration of Community Spirit and Creativity

Funded by Scarborough Borough Council as part of their community program, the giant banner was digitally printed on Flag fabric, with grab handles sewn in every two meters around its perimeter. The children will hold the banner during its unveiling at Scarborough Castle as part of the Tour, celebrating their creativity and community spirit.

Make a bold statement with our high-quality fabric banners – perfect for any event or promotional display.
