ImageWall at Glee: Creating a Flexible Exhibition and Podcast Studio Space

When WrightObara approached us to help design and deliver a stand for Glee Birmingham Evenet, we knew the ImageWall self-build exhibition and display system would be the perfect solution. They needed a stand that was more than just a display – it had to be a working podcast studio, a breakout space, and a showcase for live content streaming.

Building with ImageWall

The stand was constructed using ImageWall, our modular, reconfigurable exhibition system. For this project, we integrated our acoustic dampening panel inserts, which fit neatly into the ImageWall frame to significantly reduce background noise. This created the ideal acoustic environment for the Underground Podcast, giving it the professional studio feel it needed on a busy show floor. Because ImageWall is lightweight and self-build, the WrightObara team were able to install and derig the stand quickly and efficiently, without needing specialist contractors. This simplicity, combined with the ability to reconfigure the structure for future events, demonstrates the long-term value and flexibility of ImageWall.

Evolving the Stand

This was the second year ImageWall has been used at Glee, and the stand evolved further with new features and increased scale. At the heart of the design was the podcast studio, complete with a radio-station-style viewing window, a technician area and storage behind the studio, and a breakout space for guests.

The front of the stand featured a backdrop display and monitor wall, which broadcast a live stream of the podcast interviews throughout the event. Guests could gather, watch, and engage in real time, giving the stand a strong visual and interactive presence.

To add further impact, we integrated an XG portable lightbox, ensuring the stand caught attention from every angle and reinforced the professional, high-quality presentation.

The result was a stand that wasn’t just functional, but truly dynamic – blending exhibition, media production, and brand storytelling into one cohesive space.

The Underground Podcast

The studio played host to the Underground Podcast, produced by the WrightObara team. Hosted by Kate Turner, the Gardener Guru, and Phil Wright, co-founder of WrightObara, the podcast dives into the people and trends shaping the future of horticulture.
