Our custom vinyl floor covering products are digitally printed non-adhesive materials for application to suitably prepared sub-floors. Our range includes a long-term vinyl floor covering, installed in a similar way to a standard commercial grade vinyl flooring product by a suitably skilled floor fitter, and a shorter term product for exhibition and display use, which may be fixed with double sided carpet tape.
The use of digital print allows us to apply a bespoke printed image from your artwork, directly onto a high-quality commercial grade floor covering, ready for installation in your chosen location.

Digitally printed floor vinyl linoleum (Lino) graphics
From exhibition stands and promotional events to retail showcases, fashion shows, theatre and stage installations, this PVC coated, polyester fabric-backed flooring media has been designed specifically for bespoke and customised digitally printed graphics, with your artwork directly printed to the lightly textured top surface of the material. As a cushioned vinyl, it is comfortable underfoot and has exceptional acoustic characteristics, and it also has dry non-slip and fire-resistant properties making it compliant for use in public spaces. It helps reduce ambient noise when installed over almost any hard, smooth surface including hardboard, wood, concrete and stage decking. Its lay flat characteristics make it simple to install: Roll it out and use a suitable double-sided carpet tape to hold it in position. When you have finished, it can be removed leaving no residue behind.
Graphics can be produced in excess of 3m wide on one piece, but where larger areas need to be covered, our computerised cutting technology ensures that each pre-trimmed section will fit accurately together when fixed on site using double sided tape under the joins.
Premium long-term floor covering - BILD™ flooring (formally known as G-Floor)
For long term and heavy traffic situations where only the best will do, this is our ultimate solution for a bespoke digitally printed floor. The product is made from 100% solid transparent vinyl with a fine non-slip texture to the top surface. We print to the underside and apply a white ink layer behind the image so that once installed, the printed graphics are protected by 2mm of durable, high density PVC. We recommend that installation is carried out by an experienced flooring installer. Once bonded to the sub floor with a suitable flooring adhesive, you will have a durable, long lasting bespoke floor to add that wow factor to a range of retail, commercial and high-end domestic spaces.
Graphics can be produced in excess of 3metres wide in one piece, but where larger areas need to be covered, the material can be welded on site using standard vinyl floor welding techniques and equipment. A 4mm clear vinyl welding rod is available.

Things to consider...
How long will your graphic be installed for?
Depending on the length of time your graphic will be in situ, we can offer different solutions from self-adhesive floor graphics to short-term and premium long-term floor coverings such as BILD.
Design
- Graphics should be bold and simple. Avoid complicated messages which require users to stop in order to read them.
- If you do not know the colour of the surface your graphics are going on, consider adding a contrasting keyline around the edge to ensure they stand out against the floor.
- Shape- we can cut to almost any shape, but complex shapes and sharp corners can cause the graphic to fail in use. Use simple shapes and always use radiused corners rather than sharp points.
- Clear film and white ink- for some indoor hard floor applications we can print on a clear base film. When combined with our white ink printing capabilities, we can produce interesting effects. This also enables us to overcome some of the limitations of using simple cut shapes- Complex shaped images can be printed onto a clear background allowing a softer shape to be cut around the edge of the film.
- Viewing angle- remember, users will be looking at your graphics from an angle as they approach them. This may need to be considered in your design.
Installation
Installation has a huge impact upon the durability of your graphic. with products such as our premium long-term floor covering we recommend that installation is carried out by an experienced installer. Within our range, requirements vary, so please ensure the correct information specific to each product is followed. In general:
- Consider the location of the graphic as per information above
- Ensure the existing flooring is of a suitable type for the graphic you have ordered
- Clean the surface thoroughly, removing all dirt, dust, loose particles and contaminants such as floor polish and oily residues
- Ensure the surface is dry and in good condition
- Observer minimum application temperatures- remember that in cold conditions, surface temperatures may be lower than air temperatures.
- Ensure the correct tools are used, specific to the film you are using
- Pay particular attention to edges, corners and joins when applying the graphic
- After installation, ensure appropriate clean methods are used when maintaining graphics.
Creating your artwork
You have 2 options when creating artwork:
1. Design your own or use your preferred agency to design it for you.
We have templates available for many of our products which can be downloaded from the table opposite and instructions on sending artwork over are beneath it.
2. Let XG assist you with your artwork.
If you require assistance in preparing your artwork, we can help lay out your supplied elements.
We will require you to complete our artwork brief which can be downloaded using the button below. This will then need to be sent to us via email to sales@xg-group.co.uk you can send a photo or a scanned version, we would also require any logos in vector format (ai,eps), fonts and relevant copy needed to complete the layout.
This process would require your approval and final sign off before production. Please note, we do charge for artwork and we will discuss this during the quote process.
